I have a complete article citation, now how do I get the full text of the article.

Start by typing or copying and pasting just the article's title in our Discovery Search box (located under the heading: "WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?") on our library homepage. Switch the search type to Articles. If we have access, it should be in the first few results.
If you have an article citation (e.g., article title, journal title, article author, date, volume, issue, page number, etc.), you can enter this information in our Article Linker to see if the article is available to you online or in print.
You can also search for the article by the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) or PMID (PubMed ID). For more information, see the following FAQ.
You can check the library's Journals Research Guide page to see if we have access to a particular journal title. The Journals link is located under the main search box on the library homepage (lib.vt.edu).
a) Find journals by title, subject, or ISSN in the "Search Journals on BrowZine" box to begin your search. If we have access, it should be in the first few results; Or
b) Type the full name of the journal Title or the ISSN in the "Search the Journal Title Database" box to begin your search. If we have access, it should be in the first few results.
Some journals are only found in subject related or specific databases. You can check the Research Guide to see recommended databases by academic department.
Still need help? Did you find the article in question in a database? Look for the Get VText button or link, , near the article citation to immediately access the same options as above.
If the article is not available online or in print, select "Expand My Results" option under "Tweak your results" on the results page to check for available services, or request the article through ILLiad (Interlibrary Loan).
