Why are my grant proposals displaying 'No information provided' on my FAR?
Answer
The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) transmits proposal data from its system, Summit, directly into the Faculty Activity Report (FAR) systems for both the College of Science (COS) and the College of Engineering (COE). However, a significant portion of this data pertains to projects with restricted publicity, meaning that certain proposal information—such as project titles and funding amounts—may be automatically replaced with the placeholder text ‘No data provided.’
In the COS FAR, users have the ability to directly edit the table to manually enter or correct information if appropriate.
In contrast, in the COE FAR, users are not able to directly modify the table and can only append a footnote to provide additional context or clarifications.
