How do I correct or add missing data on a grant to Elements?
Answer
You cannot edit an automatically imported grant record in Elements; you can add a manual record to Elements for the same grant, but the automatically imported one from Summit / the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) will take precedence over the manual one when it imports into your FAR.
The errors or missing data will need to be corrected directly in OSP records. Contact your award contacts in OSP to correct this information.
Note: if it doesn’t get corrected in time before you submit your FAR, add a Footnote below the related table or section with the correct information and note that you have also reached out to OSP to have it corrected in the system.
College of Science specific: In the COS FAR template, potentially sensitive proposals may have their title and/or sponsor omitted. The Project Title and Sponsor show as “Enter manually” and should be manually added in the final report to include the title and sponsor.
