Fines and fees for all library materials except equipment borrowed from the Studios Technology Lending Desk can be paid in the following ways.
We recommend that you use the Online payment method, using funds on your Hokie Passport card, or send in your checks or money orders by mail, as indicated below. Login and check My Library Account for any fines you may have. If you have any fines on your account, from overdue books from our libraries, overdue equipment, overdue Interlibrary Loan items, or replacement charges for lost items (including anything more than 30 days overdue), you'll see them listed under "My Loans" account option, and the "FINES & FEES" tab, with the details for each fine. Use the drop down menu next to your name to find your account information.
Online: Fines can be paid online using the Hokie Passport payment form, but not with debit or credit cards. To add funds to your Hokie Passport, please see the following FAQ.
In Person: If fines have not been sent to the Bursar's Office, they may be paid at the Newman Services Desk on the second floor of Newman Library. You may pay with funds on your Hokie Passport, check, or money order. We do no accept cash, credit, or debit cards.
By Mail: Please include your library account information and make checks or money orders payable to Treasurer, Virginia Tech and mail to: User Services, 560 Drillfield Drive, Blacksburg, VA 24061.
Please note that any charges that have been sent to Accounts Receivable at the Bursar's Office must be paid at the Cashier's Window in the Student Services building at the Bursar's Office. Payments will be visible on the account the next business day.
For additional information about blocked accounts, fine appeals, billed status, or bursar billed status, please see the following FAQ.
