The Off Campus Sign In button was removed from our websites in August of 2016, because it is no longer necessary to do any kind of sign in in advance

Simply start on the library's website, search in the main search box, use the link to Discovery Search's advance search screen, use the link to browse or search our databases, or use the link to search our journals. Once you encounter a resource that requires authentication, you'll automatically see the usual login screen. Again, you need do nothing in advance to make that happen as long as you start on the library's website.

Should you have recently logged into another Virginia Tech resource that uses the same login system, such as Canvas or HokieSPA, you won't even need to log in again, as you will already be signed into the system. That also works in the other direction.

If instead you are starting at Google Scholar, then you'll need to take some steps to configure it to use the library's links to these resources.
