Q. How do I link course reserve listings in Canvas?

For Physical Items (e.g., print books, DVDs):

With the University Libraries catalog, you can link to individual course lists in the Reserves system. Start on the Course Reserves page, then select the Search Course Reserves link (Course Reserves search tool). Finally search for the course abbreviation in the search box (e.g., FR 1105 or ESM 4404). The URL will look like this:

https://virginiatech.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/discovery/search?tab=CourseReserves&vid=01VT_INST:01VT_INST&mode=advanced

If an item is part of a course, look for the permalink on the item page to copy and share with your class. The URL will look like this:

Example, for course FR 1105:

https://virginiatech.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/permalink/01VT_INST/gqv3lt/alma991010444009708646

This URL with the unique course ID for the course is the persistent link to this listing.
