Newman Library in Blacksburg does not provide proctoring services. Virginia Tech Students in the national capital region can have their tests proctored at the University Libraries at Academic Building One in Alexandria VA (Greater Washington, D.C., Area; formerly the Northern Virginia Center (NVC) or NVC Resource Center). To request this service, email the University Libraries at Academic Building One at nvclibrary@vt.edu.
Students taking courses through a Virginia community college should check their college website for information. You can find the proctor request for Northern Virginia Community college (NOVA) on their testing information page. Similar to campus-based courses, faculty at NOVA will be proctoring your assessments virtually during a scheduled day and time using either Respondus Monitor and Respondus Lockdown Browser and/or Zoom Live proctoring scenarios. Please see the following NOVA online proctor request form and their testing information page for more information.
