Newman Library in Blacksburg does not provide proctoring services. Students in the national capital region can request proctoring services at the Northern Virginia Center in Falls Church.

Students taking courses through a Virginia community college should check their college website for information. You can find the proctor request for Northern Virginia Community college (NOVA) on their testing information page. Similar to campus-based courses, faculty at NOVA will be proctoring your assessments virtually during a scheduled day and time using either Respondus Monitor and Respondus Lockdown Browser and/or Zoom Live proctoring scenarios. Please see the following NOVA online proctor request form and their testing information page for more information.

Blacksburg-based students needing proctoring for non-community college tests should check with the public library.

Important COVID-19 Changes:

New River Community College (NRCC): Unfortunately, both NRCC Testing Centers will be closed for your safety during Fall 2020 due to COVID-19. All testing will be done online, and proctor requests are unavailable.
