You can borrow materials from other libraries using Interlibrary Loan, which operates all year, except during select holidays.

Most lending libraries will not fill interlibrary loan requests from mid-December through the first week or two of January. Some will stop lending as early as the first week of December. Therefore, ILLiad service stops most interlibrary borrowing during the holiday season. ILLiad requests are still accepted and will be filled once Interlibrary Loan re-opens.

Extended campus users, however, can borrow materials owned by the Virginia Tech Libraries at all times.
