The 3D Design Studio (Room 2010) is located in Newman Library's second floor Learning Commons, just past the main elevators, across from the Writing Center.

Fall 2020 Updates:

3D Design Studio is operating fully remotely for fall 2020. Patrons may access the service by submitting a survey. At this time, we are only accepting models for course work and research. Preferred file formats are .stl and .obj. Patrons will receive an email when their completed object is available for pick-up outside of the 3D Design Studio in Newman Library.

3D scanning services are available on a case-by-case basis through our booking website. Once your item is scanned, it will be availabe for pickup outside of the studio in Newman Library. Human subject 3D scanning is not available this semester. Any questions about the space or its services can be directed to 3DStudio@vt.edu, or call us at (540) 231-9536.
