First, we do not recommend accessing library resources through the VPN. If you begin at the library's website or configure Google Scholar to use our links to resources, you'll be automatically authenticated and be able to access articles, journals, ebooks, and more. Accessing through the VPN will significantly slow your connection.

The default setting of the VT VPN is to only route your network traffic through the VPN for on-campus servers, but our subscription resources are located off campus. You'll need to switch the VPN settings to route All Traffic Over SSL VPN so these off-campus resources will see you as being on the campus network.
