We stopped using EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) in May 2020 and our contract with the provider ended in June. EDS will no longer work.
We now use WorldCat Discovery from OCLC. It works very much like EDS, in that it indexes much of our collections, online or physical. You can search for a topic or for a known item. You can use filters and limiters to refine your search results. Physical materials will show a location, call number, and whether the item is currently checked out. Online material will link to the resource and will automatically authenticate you using the standard PID/password/2nd factor used by other Virginia Tech systems.
You can learn more about using Discovery Search on the Discovery Search Tool Information Hub.
