Why isn't an activity showing up on my FAR after I added it to Elements?

Answer

The first thing to check when an activity does not appear as expected on your report is the dates. Every activity must have a date associated with it in order to be included on a report, and the date of the activity must fall within the date range specified for the report.

Date fields are at the bottom of most data entry screens. If an activity was a one time event but the data entry screen includes fields for start and end dates, just fill in the end date and leave the start date blank. If an activity is ongoing, enter a start date and leave the end date blank.

Another reason an activity may not appear in your FAR is that the record does not align with the activity types included in the FAR. For example, some of the FAR templates do not map to every activity type available in Elements or they will require that the activity have a specific filter on it (e.g., from a dropdown menu on the form). As a result, if you enter an activity into Elements that is not mapped to the FAR or does not have the correct filter on it, it will not appear on your FAR. To troubleshoot this, download your college’s FAR template, from the UDC, and check whether the activity type is included and/or if it requires a specific filter on it. If you’re unsure or need further assistance, you can contact Elements support by submitting a 4help ticket.

Keep in mind that the system is designed to produce a variety of reports in addition to the FAR, so you may enter some items that are not currently included in the FAR.
