You can borrow materials from other libraries using the ILLiad interlibrary loan service. ILLiad operates all year, but the holiday period between fall and spring semesters is different.

Most lending libraries will not fill interlibrary loan requests from mid-December through the first week or two of January. Some will stop lending as early as the first week of December. Therefore, the Virginia Tech ILLiad service stops most interlibrary borrowing during the holiday season. ILLIad requests are still accepted and will be filled once ILL service start again in January.

Extended campus users, however, can borrow materials owned by the Virginia Tech Libraries at all times.
