Interlibrary Loan (ILL) operates year-round and requests may be submitted through your ILLiad account at any time.

ILL items can be picked up and returned to the User Services Desk, located on the second floor of Newman Library. For off-campus students, items can either be returned to the NVC, WAAC, VT Carilion School of Medicine, or the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute library branches, or returned using the enclosed USPS pre-paid label located in each Interlibrary Loan book.

The only time Interlibrary Loan closes is during select holidays and the end of the year, when other libraries stop filling ILL requests due to holiday closings, reduced staffing, and mail slowdowns. ILLiad requests are still accepted and are processed when they re-open.
